SuperTux Advance
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
SuperTux Advance started as just a game to learn coding with, but rapidly grew into a much larger project than expected. You play as Tux, the Linux mascot. Tux's friends have been captured by Nolok and hidden in many forts around the world. Along the way, Tux meets allies who will join him on his quest to save the free software mascots.
Gameplay is an amalgamation of classic Mario, Sonic, and a hint of Metroid. Each level can earn badges based on how you complete them, and best times are tracked per level.

I have a question, how do you modify the game? What programs are needed?
In the file menus.nut from the src file, remove the line 462 which says: deleteTexture(gvScreen)
This way the game will stop crashing after changing the graphics filter.

Ooh, nice sprites! Though the nightly version now includes an actual Sonic-like character named Surge who I think you’ll find to be a better base to work on.
Thank you! Ill probably have to rework the sprites sometime so when ill do ill use Surge as the base, also i finished Sonic

Awesome!!
Very very very good supertux remix. The action is smooth and challenging, levels pleasant to explore and commentary interesting.
I will add, I especially liked underwater levels.
